Goal of the Master´s Program is to combine the pioneering spirit of the early developments made by Frei Otto and his team with the current and future building technologies.

 

Above all, this Program will provide practical yet innovative answers to real-world questions.

This comprehensive Master´s Program includes lectures by key figures from the Lightweight Membrane Structures Industry and Academia. The so called "Top Secrets" will be fully revealed.

The accredited and approved academic M.Eng. eq. M.Sc. (90 ECTS) opens also the door to an unprecedented Ph.D program.

State of the art software tools are fully available to participants.

This 4 semester part-time program is held in English language. There are 4 units each lasting 10 days plus one extra Unit for the Master´s Thesis.

Target Group are Individuals working in the field of Lightweight Membrane Structures and related fields ranging from design and architecture, engineering, business administration, finance, manufacture, installation, textile industry or related sciences.
Participants will fully sharpen their profile to become an authority in the specific field.

Danube University Krems is the University for Continuing Education.

Dr. Rainer Blum and DI Horst Dürr who are part of the faculty are the "inventor" of the so called "Biaxial-Testing-Table". This table is today at DEKRA Stuttgart with Dr. Heidrun Bögner-Balz. Also the  Wind tunnel testing Lab and in house light lab are of additional value.
